The Walnut Alliance of California is an organization of walnut growers, handlers, hullers and other businesses associated with the California walnut industry. It is loosely modeled after the Almond Alliance, which has provided tremendous value for California almond farmers. Like the Almond Alliance, the Walnut Alliance of California can perform activities on behalf of the walnut industry that are not allowed through federal or state marketing order programs of the California Walnut Board or the California Walnut Commission.
The Walnut Alliance of California operates as a non-profit, public benefit tax exempt 501(c) 5 corporation with voluntary members who pay an annual fee. The Walnut Alliance has also formed a Political Action Committee to assist the walnut industry in advocating for fair regulations and trade policy.
A primary objective of the Walnut Alliance is to support the work of the California Walnut Board and the California Walnut Commission.

Grades for domestic and imported walnuts

Walnut Alliance Leadership
The Walnut Alliance of California is currently led by Board members of a former organization known as the Walnut Bargaining Association. A new Board membership structure has been put in place and the organization is seeking walnut industry members interested in serving on the Board of the Walnut Alliance of California.
